How do I reserve the Sanders Estate for my big wedding day?

Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. A signed rental agreement and a non-refundable $3000 deposit are required to reserve your date.

I’d like to offer guests alcohol at my event, what are my options?

Of course! In addition to Blue Ribbon’s all-inclusive catering services, you have the option to have our licensed and insured bartenders provide service for your event. If you’ll be serving beer, wine, champagne or hard alcohol at your event, you’ll be required to obtain a Banquet Permit which costs $11 and can be obtained online in about 5 minutes.

What kind of alcohol do you allow on-site?

The Sanders Estate welcomes the service of beer (kegs are just fine!), wine and champagne, and hard liquor on-site. All alcohol service must be provided by Blue Ribbon Cooking’s licensed and insured bartending staff.

What about a rehearsal for the big wedding day?

If you’d like to schedule a one-hour ceremony rehearsal the week of your wedding, you may schedule your rehearsal no sooner than six weeks prior to your wedding date. The rehearsal times are based on availability of the venue.

We’re thinking of bringing children – any special rules or regulations?

Children are always welcome, however it is your responsibility to see that they are supervised at all times. It’s in both your and our interest to keep children away from the Ponds, Gardens and Pastures. And of course, children are welcome in the mansion, but only when accompanied by a responsible adult.

Do you provide decorations for my event? Am I able to bring my own in?

We’re excited to help you make this day unique to you, and will gladly help you create a look and feel that’s both special and memorable. We’re one of Seattle’s unique registered Historic Sites, and for this reason, have limitations on alterations and customizations to the property.

We’re considering offering cigars as a part of our day, and some of our guests smoke – what do we need to know about the property and smoking rules?

Your guests are more than welcome to smoke outside in our designated smoking areas, but The Sanders Estate is designated as a Non-Smoking Area.

How long may I rent the Sanders Estate for?

A standard rental agreement is for 8hrs, however more time may be reserved at an additional fee. We are always flexible to help make your event amazing.
